Big River Glass recently completed a large-scale industrial lab renovation project at Shell Norco, located at 15536 River Rd, Norco, LA 70079 – one of the most recognized petrochemical facilities on Louisiana’s River Road corridor.
Working alongside long-term partner The McDonnel Group , BRG completed the full installation of blast-rated storefront systems, doors, and windows throughout the renovated lab space. Every product selected and installed for this project was engineered to meet the strict safety and performance standards required in petrochemical and industrial environments.
Why Blast-Rated Glass Matters in Industrial Environments
Industrial facilities like Shell Norco operate in environments where safety is non-negotiable. Blast-rated glazing systems are specifically engineered to withstand overpressure events and explosive forces – protecting workers, preserving structural integrity, and helping facilities maintain compliance with industrial safety requirements.
BRG’s installation at Shell Norco included blast-rated storefront framing, blast-rated door systems, and blast-rated window units – all installed and completed to the highest standard of workmanship by BRG’s dedicated industrial crews.
